The great Aussie wave

by Bruce Wadd

It covers the breadth and width of Australia – the famous Aussie wave!  And what, you ask, is that?

In our country, particularly during hot dry times, there are usually plenty of flies buzzing around the face.  Thus, particularly in country areas, you see people talking with each other and doing strange actions with their hands.  They are waving away the persistent little black insects zipping around their face.

These unrelenting little creatures just keep buzzing around the face.  I recall times where you couldn’t eat because opening your mouth meant an unwanted meal!

God rewards people with ‘fly behaviour’!

I am so pleased that He doesn’t do the great Aussie wave… and frighten us away!  He always has time for those yearning to be in His presence.

Don’t go away.  Always be chasing God at every stage of your life!

David set the example…

“I cried out to the Lord, and He heard me

from His Temple in Jerusalem. Then I lay

down and slept in peace and woke up safely,

for the Lord was watching over me.”

Psalms 3:4,5
