Attention seekers

by Bruce Wadd

With only one cabin to inspect I had a clear winner. The beds were tidy, the floor swept, all the girls had clean teeth, tidy clothes and immaculate hair. They had even tidied up their bags, ready for a surprise look.

But on the last morning of camp, I wasn’t planning on a cabin full of rowdy boys catching me off guard.

“Good morning, Mr W.,” chorused all the inspectees. Right from my first step inside their dwelling four nights, it was obvious these boys were out to win the points on offer.

What made the difference in the final points count back? I must be a bit of a ‘softy’ but I have to admit, it was when they said, “You are the best cabin inspector ever,” even after the surprise ten push-up challenge!

They got my vote!

How long are you going to live your life before you realise that God actually notices people that are willing to be obedient. Are you listening? Are you following His instructions?

Here’s some wisdom for this morning…

“Well, God doesn’t listen to evil men, but He has open ears to those who worship Him and do His will.”

John 9:31

TODAY, why not get God’s attention… listen and obey!
