Asking – a negative privilege!

by Bruce Wadd

Do you allow yourself the privilege of asking yourself how you feel?

As a Christian this is of vital importance to your happiness, peace and success in Him! Before answering read these questions …

Imagine an Olympic swimmer asking how he or she felt when getting up for the 1000th time to train in the cold morning chill?

Imagine the concert pianist having the privilege of avoiding vital practice because they didn’t feel like it prior to a major recital?

Imagine a world class surgeon skimping on final research and preparation for life-saving surgery?

It just wouldn’t happen!

You are a child of God, a saved being, with an incredible hope and future, with an awesome plan for your life designed by God.

Maybe it’s time to get beyond that privileged point of asking how you feel. Is it time for you to be committed to the God’s plan for your life, where feelings are irrelevant? Here is Paul’s statement of commitment…

“So, whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead.” Philippians 3:11

TODAY, make a commitment… it’s a real privilege!
