Around the corner

by Bruce Wadd

I was rushing between classes. I’d walked this footpath many times, even been on the same route less than an hour before. But this time I was running late, and with intentional walking I was off to my next class.

As I turned the corner, I was distracted for a moment - a mere second - as a student called out my name. But, in that instant I walked straight into one of the steel poles holding up the walk way.

Next thing I knew I was lying on the ground, stunned. My head was spinning. I couldn’t believe what happened, it was so rapid!

I got myself up, dazed. Once I gathered myself, I walked to the office, informing them of the accident. With ice applied to the swelling forehead I sat down to recuperate, and stroke my wounded ego!

The corner got me! I’d taken my eyes off the path for a moment, and paid a price.

Just remember, He knows what’s around the corner. Are you trusting Him, even when you ‘think’ you know what’s coming?

Let Him direct your steps. You will rush less, reduce worry, and eliminate pains in the head! Here’s the secret…

“The steps of good men are directed by the Lord.

He delights in each step they take.”

Psalm 37:23

TODAY, let Him take charge when cornering!
