I received $100 from a friend, a much needed gift given our current financial situation. Immediately I got a Holy Spirit tap on the shoulder.
‘Pass it on discretely to another friend. The blessings will be outstanding for that person!’ the small voice instructed.
So faithfully, and privately, I just slipped the note into my other friend’s hand. I haven’t heard about the blessing, but I know the smile is large! The miracle of God’s provision – I learn slowly!
In the comfort of my Western middle class lifestyle, it hasn’t been till my income was cut by two thirds that I have really begun to trust Him in a new way to provide like never before!
I know many of you already know this simple truth, and I confess my real slowness in learning how to trust God financially. I am embarrassed with how long it’s taken … but I declare His faithfulness today! He does amazing things when He is allowed!
“But watch out! Be very careful never to forget what you have seen God doing for you. May His miracles have a deep and permanent effect upon your lives! Tell your children and your grandchildren about the glorious miracles He did!” Deuteronomy 4:9 He is good…and has been for a long, long time!
